'Football French Club' is aimed not only at children but also to aid teachers in their MFL delivery. The FFC scheme does not rely on language 'specialists' but rather language 'enthusiasts' so that the important key aspects of the scheme are covered. To deliver the activities you do not need to be a fluent speaker of French but teachers should take the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the vocabulary before passing this on to the children. In order to help, Football French Club is producing a CD Rom with 'Key Expressions' for teachers to use in the classroom, as well as all the vocabulary for each activity recorded by a native French speaker.

An important part of developing children's language learning is to involve the 'little and often' approach. By dropping the key words into everyday lessons, this will ensure the children are constantly engaging wth the new language. Similarly, there are a number of worksheets available related to the topics which children can complete at home or can be used in class. An example for the 'Colours' topic is available below:
